This is about how I feel today.
I don’t know if 2 weeks of steady cold meds have raised havoc in my gut or what. But I HURT. I am about falling asleep on my keyboard by 2pm. I’m looking forward to going to Gary’s just to snuggle in with no animals or kids to wake me at 5am.
Plus – dammit! It’s so nice outside!!
Thank God it’s Friday.
Speaking of, I made coffee this morning, put the water and grounds in, turned it on ……….1/2 hour later I went out to get my cuppa and nothing. NOTHING!
So I had to go and buy a new coffee pot this morning. I was over 2 hours late getting my coffee which, any of you that drink coffee know….resulted in a caffeine withdrawal headache. So I’ve been popping Tylenol all day.
Which, I don’t think, helps with the sore gut.
Babysitting Lennox and Willa tomorrow night.
“Do you think Gary would have ice cream with me?”
I wouldn’t doubt it darling. I would too.
“You would?” (he asks as he and I are having ice cream together…………..)
God I love that kid!!
Mommy and son went to a Mommy/Son dance last Friday. He looks so grown up in the photo!! Is he no longer 5?? omg……….
They grow up FAR too fast for this Nonna!

It’s getting rather old. The water by my house has actually gone down and the creek is pretty much back within her banks. The rotting vegetation smell is not too bad because it gets chilly enough at night yet.
This lake, I mean field, is pretty much gone now. The swamps between my place and town have subsided.
Yesterday I went home with a headache. Took my Melatonin at 8:30pm figuring to drop off about 9:30pm. I think the ‘Tylenol’ I took messed with it because it was almost 11pm before I finally could shut the lights off. However I tossed and turned for another hour.
Gary and I are babysitting the two littlest bugs on Saturday. Both Mom and Dad have to work. Mom is working a Wild Game Feed and Dad works from 7pm till 6:30am. So I will also be in charge of giving Willa her heart meds. I’ve done it several times so I’m not too worried. When I asked Gary if he wouldn’t mind babysitting with me on Saturday, he immediately asked: “Can I hold Willa??? I need to practice you know!” lol…Of course you can hon.
Last night, I got all kinds of smiles and stories! But as soon as I bring the camera out, she stops and just stares at the phone. I think I’m gonna have to have Mommy hide behind the couch and try to get it secretly. But that Willa, she’s pretty sharp! And is really noticing things now. She is almost 10 weeks old.
I sold a flattie last night. I’ll have a nice chunka change in my pocket on Saturday. I believe it is a 1949. I should pull the #’s and do some research. I have a second flattie I need to figure out the year on. And a third big one in the shed. Someone’s car needs a motor..
That’s $250 sitting right there. Wish someone would take it of my hands….lol! I want to pay off my car! Oh,and there are 2 or 3 more flatties in my garage. One of them is $1,300, rather rare little bird………………
Well……I’m not falling asleep on my keyboard like I did yesterday. Sheesh. I’m just shot. Tomorrow night is fish supper with another sister. I also have to do some grocery shopping for the cash strapped college grandson. He’s getting a couple bags full of stuff tomorrow night. He’s happy. LOL. Don’t take much!
So I don’t have much. Sleeping before 10pm last night. I’m exhausted and I don’t know why. Getting old I guess.
Meeting up for supper tonight……………Have a good night!
Have any of you ever been here? It is so good for finding peace. I loved these gardens. My cousin and I went there after the Georgia O’Keefe Show across the way from here. I can’t recall the name of that gallery. It was a GREAT time with Allison. I love her to bits and back. Can’t hardly believe it has been 5 years since we were there. So much has happened since then.
We lost her mom- my auntie, my husband, another auntie, and my brother. Also 5 of my classmates, and numerous friends. I should keep track for just one year. I’m sure the stats would be staggering.
OK OK OK!!!
I’ll do what I can to get a photo tomorrow night!
I took a selfie of us driving to my house. He won’t let me post the photo, he was not smiling. So he doesn’t like it. He said to warn him the next time I was taking a photo.
I said no.
But no, I won’t post it. I’ll just keep trying for a good photo instead.
I am so tired today. I couldn’t sleep last night. I hate that. Time to start taking my Melatonin at 6pm instead. I need to catch up I think. Between the medicine and all the fresh air on Saturday, you would think I’d have dropped right off.
We went walking in Whitewater State Park on Saturday. One of the prettiest valleys around. It was sunny and warm out. Walked some of the trails there. We will probably do that every weekend now. He’s on his way there now.
It’s quarter of 4. I have to run up to Blair 10 miles north of my after work, go home, grab the boys, go to the library and return 2 books and 2 movies, then home to relax. I’m taking my Melatonin early tonight. This cold and the meds have kicked my ass and I need to sleep.
Y’all have a good night now, ya hear?
I hope one of you gets something out of this today.
I hope one of you passes this one on.
I hope one of you helps a sister today.
I hope one of you understands – I am here for you.
Because I have been in these places.
And I have carried on.
Because I know how you feel.
And I have a never ending supply of hugs and a large shoulder.
Go forth and be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
And I’m heading west to see mah man for the weekend.
Meeting one of his 4 sisters tonight for fish.
Yes, he is Catholic. Seems like all the guys I’ve met are.
And they drive Chevy’s.
See ya Monday!!
