Japanese Tea Garden in SF

japanese tea garden

Have any of you ever been here? It is so good for finding peace. I loved these gardens. My cousin and I went there after the Georgia O’Keefe Show across the way from here. I can’t recall the name of that gallery. It was a GREAT time with Allison. I love her to bits and back. Can’t hardly believe it has been 5 years since we were there. So much has happened since then.

We lost her mom- my auntie, my husband, another auntie, and my brother. Also 5 of my classmates, and numerous friends. I should keep track for just one year. I’m sure the stats would be staggering.

  1. I once built a Japanese tea garden out in the back where I thought the attention to it and the time to meditate with tea would be good for my soul. But making tea is a major pain in the butt, and the dogs thought it was a good place to dump. A couple of times trying to brew up Japanese tea and meditating over dog turds strewed in the sand ocean just didn’t do it for me … I tilled it over and planted grass …

  2. Don’t keep track of your losses because they are on the rise. That’s how it is. I’d never lost many I’d known until about 10 or 12 years ago and suddenly everyone was dropping like flies. Nope! As we get older…death is inevitable.
