Lots of wood…..

So I am moving my wood so it’s all on pallets and won’t stick to the ground come winter.

7 chunks end view
Damn things were HEAVY. But they are almost all on pallets and under cover now.8 chunks side view
Freaking things wore me out.9
The bark on the ground, I need to pick up and haul to the brush pile yet.6 4 big chunks
These 4 were too big for me to haul. I’ll have to drag them with the JD and some straps. 3 top half long branch
This is the top half of the branch that hung over my garage. 4 bottom half long branch
This is the bottom half. All those pieces need split.
5 base of long branch tree
I got a bunch from the bottom of that tree too. Now to clean that up. And let the flower grow again.1 under pine tree
I hauled a bunch of broken brick from where there is only soil. The flagstone you see will be my patio one day. Soon.2 brick pile
This is another pile of brick, broken brick, wood chunks and a car hood along with both my old bath tubs. I’m gonna list those and see if some Catholic wants one for their yard.

Know anyone? They need to haul…

I’m sore.

The brick are a combo of old and new. What is left from rebuilding the back door and what was salvaged when they took that back door down. I have people constantly leaving me notes about buying them. So time to move them further back out of sight. I have another project I want done so I am sorting out the broken, stacking the good ones on pallets and they will be stored over where that damn woodchuck was. I kept shoving cat shit down his hole. He left. Thank God. I hope my garage floor is OK.  We are to get rain every day this week so this pile will be worked on next weekend. July 4th. I am going to Kris’s camper to watch with her. Gary hasn’t talked to me since last Thursday except to tell me about the Tornado between him and me in Stockton.  Nothing all day today yet. I’m not the one who stopped talking. I already asked what was wrong. Ball is in his court. I was perfectly happy home alone all weekend.

Just me, Jegs, Sprint, Stella and Louie.

And Joel. My AirBnB customer. He was so sweet. And is welcome back anytime.

In keeping with tradition (because River is forcing this on me with this……I mean….of this WONDERFUL nomination)  I shall post the rules.

Ooops……………that’s not the logo!

award
Thank the blogger who nominated you and post a link to their blog

Thank you SO much River!!!

Answer the questions of the one who nominated you

Would any of you be willing to let a slightly pissed off red squirrel and her children rent a room? The sooner the better, I’m getting hateful looks.
-You wanted to be Marlin Perkins and have the Wild Kingdom. You get to keep her now. She’s Queen of that Kingdom. LOL Just think of the rewards when all the next generations keep coming to visit you!!

If you could change one thing about your spouse/partner/significant other/blow up girlfriend what would it be, and why?
-I don’t have a blow up girlfriend. I think you are thinking of my ex husband.

Can you talk me into eating kale in 50 words or less? I know you can’t, but it will be fun to see you try.

Hearty Kale Vegetable Soup

1 Tbsp olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 large red bell pepper, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups red potatoes, peeled and diced
6 cups kale (about one bunch), stemmed and coarsely chopped
16-ounce can low-sodium cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
1 14.5-ounce can petite-diced, fire-roasted tomatoes, undrained
4 to 6 cups low-sodium chicken stock
salt, pepper to taste
1 Tbsp sherry vinegar or wine vinegar
1 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary

Directions
1. Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed pan or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add onion and cook 5 to 7 minutes until lightly browned. Add red bell pepper, carrots, and garlic; saute 5 minutes.
2. Reduce heat to medium. Add potatoes, kale, beans, tomatoes, chicken stock, salt, and pepper; simmer until potatoes are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Add additional water or stock if mixture becomes too thick. Before serving, stir in vinegar and garnish with rosemary.

(And I didn’t use any of MY words for this one!!!!!)

You win an all expense paid trip for two to Antarctica, do you bring a Kardashian or Caitlyn Jenner?
-Depends on which one talks less and sleeps a lot. (shudders) Couldn’t you have said Johnny Depp or this really good looking guy that comes in to my work??????

By some strange twist of fate, you’re elected President of the United States in 2020. What’s your first executive order?
-Make you my vice president in charge of making alcoholic type drinks for us all day long. A six figure salary, a Lincoln town car because they ride so smooth you wouldn’t spill a DROP, and you can nominate your OWN assistant.

And finally, if you’ve made it this far…. why do bloggers feel compelled to keep this award thing going when none of us really like them?
-Because some of the questions can be SUCH fun and we can share recipes!! Are you not so happy you shared with me?? Now you have to try that soup!!!!

Nominate some bloggers
Dad….because he seems to like this kind of thing.
Dewy…because she always has some good words
Wayward…just because she’s fun!!
Yvonne…because I like her dog.
Jolie….I love reading her

Ask them seven questions

1.) What are some of your guilty pleasures that you’re willing to admit?

2.) As of right now, if you were to die, what would you leave me in your last will and testament? Why or why not?

3.) Would you be willing to take on River’s Mad Momma Squirrel and her passel of babies? She would deliver.

4.) If I were to summon you via black magic, which 5 items would I need in each corner of the pentagram? No goats allowed.

5.)  If you were a flavor, what would you be?  And why?

6.) When you poop in a public toilet do you hover, build a nest, or just sit down?( I actually answered this one on a radio call in. What was my answer? I blogged it)

7.) If someone was filming your life up to this point, what would be on the soundtrack and what is the title?

Now off you go little ones! Fly free and answer with wild abandon! Make us laugh, make us giggle, keep us awake with yet another award nomination!!! I’ve had my quota of those for the 5 year term so GOOD LUCK MY LOVELIES!!

My Genuine 3 hole brick shit house….

3holer front3holer door side3holer door side front3holer much better3holer back3holer door side done3holer right side done3holer front half done3holer front done3holer left side done

….got cleaned up around yesterday. River? Please do NOT show this to Fred, he’ll want to redo that lean to. And fix its door. And paint it.

The fencing will most likely get burned. It’s rather rotted. But Gary has to put new wheel bearings in the front wheels of my John Deere so I can use the cart to haul them over to the burn pit. Too heavy to carry.

The woodchuck has gotten a bit of a reprieve with my back going out. But by hook or by crook he’ll be gone by next weekend. I can’t have it undermining my garage any more.

I HUNG 3 LOADS OF CLOTHES ON MY CLOTHESLINE THIS WEEKEND!!! Do you have a clue how HAPPY that made me???

I have another Chiro app’t at 4pm today. Hopefully this finishes it up. HATE hurting.

Right???

So I spent yesterday in my Jammies. OK, I do own a couple pair just because on occasion I do not dress for the day.

I’m not sure what did it but I put my back out bad enough that the 15 second walk to my bathroom from my bed? Took several minutes yesterday morning. Bending down to pick up Stella and Louie……….? ow. Nope. They did OK until 5pm last night when they decided to explore. And I couldn’t catch them before they made it to the Edge parked at the end of my driveway. They got in trouble and were kenneled up for over an hour while I calmed down from THAT little adventure. I couldn’t run to catch them fast enough. So now the portable pen is up and that is their potty till my back is working again. I have a 2:45pm chiro app’t today. I cannot wait. I hope this fixes. I know I’ll be sore for days yet.

Saturday, Janet and I are going up to Jon’s Celebration of Life. I still cannot believe he is gone. 3 weeks. They found out 3 weeks before he died that he had liver cancer.  I can’t wrap my head around it. Another one.

I am headed to the pet store for extra small harnesses for the two hooligans.  I can’t run after them right now. So sorry guys!!
